Race

Series: Stand Firm

Connor Baxter | September 8, 2024

Racism wounds with pain, anger, and callousness, dividing hearts. The gospel heals by cleansing these scars, turning anger into grace and callousness into compassion, restoring unity in Christ.

Discussion Questions

  1. The Gospel heals the wounds of racism/tribalism (see Romans 12:15).  How do you actively seek to understand and empathize with those who’ve experienced it?

  2. Do you think you have a race problem?  Specifically and honestly discuss your own thinking around your prejudices.

  3. Callousness should be rebuked and restored (see 1 Thessalonians 5:14 and Galatians 2:11-12). In which areas have you become cold hearted towards others? Are you allowing callousness to exist in you or around you? If so, take a few moments to repent to God and to ask Him for help in this area.
